Great book! Worth the read! If you are interested in Native American shamanism, this is for you. The author is very eloquent in her writings. I had to stop many, many times and take it all in. Very eye opening and speaks to the truth that you already know but maybe did not know how to put into words. She does it for you.

This book goes beyond words on a page, meaning, it'll actively relate to what you are going through in life. Every time I open the book and read a few pages, they speak directly to the situations at hand. I was able to send pages of the book to help several people in my life~ Those people thanked me profusely as the pages impart a wisdom that is beyond your normal grounded literature. This book is not up for controversial debate, and it doesn't judge other belief systems, it simply wants to aid you on your quest in life through the eyes of an amazing woman, author: jamie sams.I recommend this book only for people seeking enlightenment, spiritual transformation, evolution and ascension. Maybe if everyone read this book, felt the words and projected into higher awareness, we'd be more conscious of the great spirit that connects everything!I really love this book~

Truly Magical and Introspective! This book is like a personal therapist. Jamie Sams adresses different issues in spiritual development and she guides the reader through the different stages of spiritual enlightenment. I really enjoyed reading it, and now that I have finished reading it, I go back to different sections of the book and use it as a resource guide.

I am writing this review to say "thank you" to Jamie for writing such an imporant book. I don't think that a book this important comes to everyone, but if it finds its way to you, you are very fortunate. Read it.I have read all the rest, Wayne Dyer, Depak, etc. etc. etc. None of this modern stuff has ever appealed to me, but Jamie's book was very different. What she had to say resonated with me in a way that no other book has. It is a very rare occastion when I read a book twice; I will read this one countless times. Everyone who reads this book will be transformed in some way.I am a devout Roman Catholic and found immeasureable value in this book. Any person of faith can benefit from Jamie's teachings. This book was given to me as a gift from my sister. I have Cherokee family members; I wanted to study and understand the spiritual side of myself. Jamie Sams has written this book with the purist of intentions. It was very helpful to me and I have used a lot of the practices that are talked about in this book. I have a long way to go, but the guidance is wonderful!Reading this book has given me insight to things that most people take for granted.** I have now read this book two time and refer back too it when I feel "unbalanced"!This is one of the best books I have ever read!!

If you have questions about your spiritual path this is a great book. It is based on Ingenious Native American knowledge but I found it to overlap into all other spirituality studies. Clearly written, very clear meaning, and very surprising. You won't be disappointed in Jamie Sams book.

I was real wanting to read this book and feel that it has much to offer me, spiritually. However, the font is very, very small and a person needs a magnifying glass to read it, making it not a pleasure to read.My rating has nothing to do with the content of the book (can't read it), but the size of the font.I would like to know if there is an edition with easier to read font and what it is.Thank you!

In Lucia Ashta’s Powers Unleashed, the thirteenth and final book of her astoundingly great Magical Arts Academy, it is finally time to end the Dark Sorcerer’s reign of terror. USA and Nando are ready. The Dark Sorcerer really will not be. We readers, we will be delighted as this final confrontation (and what follows) is as superb an ending as the series deserves. I write that with a bit of sadness, however, as I’m going to miss this series. It’s been just too much fun (even though I understand there will be a successor series set in the future of this one). As for this book? The trademarks of this talented author are all there. Superb writing, great plot and perfectly crafted characters and world-building. Really everything one could want. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend.

OMG! Man, talk about one wild rollercoaster ride. A whirlwind of emotions and events that feed from the excitement and nerve racking tension that brings this bad boy roaring to life brilliantly. All twists and turns, ups and downs, along with a few glitches and bumps here and there pull you deeper into this raging storyline and hard hitting plot. Throw in all the drama, intrigue, uncertainty, fear, danger and suspense and you have one intense, page turning bombshell that grabs your attention and holds it from start to finish. The characters are complex and so believable it feels like you can just reach out and touch them. The scenes are so graphic and detailed it really pulls this bad boy together beautifully. You have no trouble picturing every scenario as it plays out perfectly. Lucia definitely nailed this bad boy 100% on point with such realism it really pulls this treasure together flawlessly. Remarkable job Lucia, thanks for sharing this little guy with us.I received a review copy of this story.

I received an ARC of this book and decided to write a review.They've finally made it out of the castle but are the magicians of the MAA out of trouble? They divide their forces. Those that can fly leave with the wounded and the rest will ride home. Something happens and the horsemen get separated. Then Maurisse appears and tries to end them. Will their power be enough to stop him? Or will Isa and company be utterly destroyed?A great end to a rousing series. I really enjoyed this series.

To finally come into your powers in such an awesome way and yet be still be so unlearned and guided by faith. I love Isa's and Nando's growth as sister and brother and also witches. Can't wait to read the next series.

Wow this Series is fantastic. As the Sorcer tries to win the war. Will Isadora be able to take down the Sorcerer. This is an Epic ending, with Weilding Magic. And fast paced action. The Author really brings it in this final book of the series. You can picture of whats happening as you read. An Epic must read.Shauna Joesten

This was a fitting end to a truly wonderful series. As I’ve mentioned before, it’s all about belief in oneself that makes all the difference. It’s adopting a “ Can do” approach rather than “ I can’t do that”.We are all guilty of it, authors and readers alike . Isa proves in this last episode just how much of a difference we can make with the PMA ( positive mental attitude).I still love Sir Lancelot!!Cracking series and enjoyable to the last page.Thank you.

Overall It was a useful book. Chapters 1-3 were too wordy for my taste, and really suffered from poor organization. There is a lot of referencing figures not on the page throughout the book, however once you get into the meat of the book (chapter 5+) it really streamlines and becomes a valuable study aid.

I had bought this book because it was cheaper as an SI version. Luckily the professor assigned his own problems for hw. So the minor differences between this and the non SI version did not matter. (Differences I saw were predominately in the units and the assignment problems/ exercises were slightly different in terms of numbers. ) But overall great and easy explanations of concepts and how to solve problems.

It's worth it to by the soft cover for this class, its not missing any material and will save you some good bucks.

The text by Gere and Goodno is a current version of the study of Strength of Materials, that element of Statics and Structures which considers the effects of loads on structures and ascertaining the maximum carrying capacity.There are three main elements in understanding the subject:1. Understanding the basic elements of statics; namely i. the sum of forces and moments equal zero, ii. stress is a force per unit area, iii. strain is a multiple of stress unless it is no longer so.2. Applying geometry and trigonometry to static systems. This means having a good grasp of angles and distances so as best to allocate loads.3. Paying attention to units. There is often a plethora of mixed units from lbs, N, kg, g, Pa, etc thus must be equated and often lead to either over or under stating the results.That is it. There frankly is not much more. Like books covering this material for well over a hundred years this text does so as well. The coverage includes:1. Stress and strain principles.2. Applications to beams and cylinders. This is where getting the geometry correct starts to become important.3. Bending of beams. This is the classic analysis of beams and determining maximum stress and seeing if one’s design is well within limits.4. Columns and similar structures.5. Indeterminate structures, the ones where there are an excess of givens.6. Collapse and breakage.These topics are all classic ones. The text is targeted at the undergraduate market.I first took this material some fifty five years ago using a text by Shanley. The difference is striking. Let me list them:1. Cost: The price then was in the single digits yet accounting for inflation the current text is 3 to 4 times more costly.2. Pictures: Like so many texts this is filled with color pictures driving up the cost and actually distracting from the pedagogical approach. One wonders why the authors allow the publisher to embellish the text with a plethora of unrelated materials. Do the students today demand this entertainment?3. Cohesion. The text covers the material expected but does so in my opinion in a somewhat confusing manner at times. This issue is enhanced at times by the layout of examples where the color and presentation make them unreadable and confusing.4. Problems. In today’s environment there are many computer based approaches and tools that having hundreds of rote problems is questionable. Back in the late 50s and early 60s all we had was a slide rule. That in a sense reinforced structure. An engineer used engineering paper, paper with many small squares, to write down the problem, then draw the structure, lay out the approach to a solution and then step by step go through the process carefully checking units and calculations and finally underlining the answer for the grader. The process of doing this reinforces the concepts. Today there is a loose amalgam of back of the envelope calculations, spread sheets and even some home brewed programming. Thus perhaps the problems should be changed to reflect the design approach and not some set of PE Exam questions.5. Focus. As one progresses through the material one jumps from a concept to an example to a set of questions. There is in my opinion a confusing jump from principles, extensions, and examples.Overall the text does present the material, it is complete, and it can be obtained, albeit with some difficulty. I suspect that if one works through the problems one will do well on the PE exams. However there may be a disconnect from the academic and the practical.

This is a great textbook for learning solid mechanics (mechanics of materials). The examples are clear and it is an easy read. Highly recommended even if you're supposed to use a different book for a class.

I love the format of the book. It was really great to have for class.

Book arrived on time but I had to drop the class due to a rescheduling that made it impossible for me to keep the class. I sold the book to another in the class for what I had in the book and everything worked out good.
